About Kophen Online School (Online-Maktab): Kophen Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating opportunities and positive change in the lives of individuals facing challenging circumstances. We are committed to breaking barriers and providing access to quality education through our Online School project.
Position Summary: As an Online Teacher at Kophen Online School, you will be responsible for delivering lessons remotely to students. You will create and implement educational content, engage students in interactive learning experiences, and assess their progress. The ideal candidate is passionate about education, technologically proficient, and capable of creating a positive and inclusive online learning atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
Online Lesson Delivery: Deliver online lessons to students according to the curriculum and lesson plans provided.
Content Creation: Develop and customize educational materials, resources, and activities to enhance the learning experience.
Engagement: Foster a supportive and interactive online classroom environment, encouraging student participation and discussion.
Assessment: Assess student performance and provide feedback on assignments and assessments promptly.
Communication: Maintain clear communication with students and parents as needed, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally.
Technology: Be proficient in using online teaching platforms, tools, and software to facilitate effective teaching and learning.
Professional Development: Stay updated with online teaching best practices and continuously seek opportunities for professional growth.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant field.
Teaching certification is preferred.
Previous experience in online teaching or having worked as a teacher in Afghanistan context is an advantage.
Proficiency in using online teaching platforms and tools.
Proficiency in Dari language.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Adaptability and flexibility in an evolving online learning environment.
Commitment to providing quality education and fostering a positive learning experience.

Position Description:
Kophen Association is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Mentors. As a Mentor, you will play a crucial role in supporting Afghan students, particularly girls, by offering a safe space for them to express their thoughts, feelings, hopes, and concerns. Your role will involve building a trusting relationship with students and serving as a reliable, empathetic listener and guide.
Key Responsibilities:
Mentoring: Work with 1 to 5 students based on their preferences and needs, offering guidance, support, and a compassionate ear.
Emotional Support: Create an environment where students feel comfortable discussing their worries, hopes, feelings, and challenges.
Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality regarding students' discussions and concerns unless there is a need for intervention to ensure their safety and well-being.
Communication: Keep open and regular communication with assigned students through the preferred communication channels (e.g., email, messaging apps) to check on their progress and well-being.
Resource Sharing: Provide information and resources to students when appropriate, such as educational materials, career guidance, or personal development tools.
Qualifications:
· Proficiency in Dari language (a must).
Empathetic and compassionate listener.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Cultural sensitivity and understanding of the challenges faced by Afghan students.
Commitment to ensuring the safety and privacy of students.
Availability to dedicate a minimum of one hour per week to mentoring activities.
Ability to maintain a respectful and non-judgmental approach in interactions with students.
