What We Do
Online School
In light of the ongoing disheartening situation in Afghanistan, millions of Afghan children, especially girls, are facing a dire lack of access to education. At this critical juncture, we are dedicated to assisting Afghan children, whether they are residing in Afghanistan or have been displaced to neighbouring countries, in overcoming the barriers and challenges they encounter. Our mission is to provide a pathway to a high-quality, officially recognised education by harnessing cutting-edge technology and establishing an Online School.
Beyond offering exceptional education, this Online School also grants students valid certification. This certification equips them with the credentials necessary to pursue further educational opportunities and secure promising employment prospects in the future. We are committed to breaking down the obstacles to education and fostering a brighter future for Afghan youth through innovation and equal access to quality learning.
Social Media Classroom
At the Kophen Association, our mission extends beyond our school. We recognize that in Afghanistan, there are numerous youths who, for various reasons, have not been able to officially enrol in our educational programs. To bridge this gap and reach as many Afghan youth as possible, we've harnessed the power of social media.
In a country where accessibility to traditional educational institutions can be challenging, social media serves as a vital tool for connecting with Afghan youth. We have leveraged platforms that are widely accessible across the nation, ensuring that educational opportunities can be accessed from remote regions to urban centres.
Through social media platforms, we engage with the youths in two primary approach: 1. Sharing of Educational Resources on social Media, 2. Creating and Sharing Content on Public Knowledge on Social Media.
Empowerment of Students with Psychosocial Skills
Afghanistan has witnessed significant political and social upheaval in recent years, and the resurgence of the Taliban has left many children in a dire situation. The abrupt changes in governance, fear, instability, displacement, restrictions on women, educational barriers and insecurity have taken a toll on their mental and emotional health. Children are grappling with anxiety, trauma, and uncertainty about their futures.
The Kophen Association, deeply committed to the well-being of Afghan children, is launching a series of psychosocial live sessions on social media platforms. These sessions aim to provide essential emotional support and foster resilience among Afghan children who are facing unprecedented challenges under the rule of the Taliban.
